Animal Adoption in Medicine Lodge

The City of Medicine Lodge offers animal adoption opportunities for dogs in need of a home. Our goal is to support responsible pet ownership and ensure animals are placed in safe, caring environments.


If you are interested in adopting a dog, please contact City Hall for current availability and assistance.

How to Adopt a Dog

To adopt a dog from the City of Medicine Lodge:

  • Contact City Hall at (620) 886-3908

  • Complete the required adoption process

  • Pay a $25 adoption fee

  • Provide a $60 deposit, which is refundable upon proof of spay or neuter within 90 days

Adoption Form

Spay/Neuter Requirement

To promote responsible pet ownership, adopted dogs must be spayed or neutered within 90 days of adoption. Proof of completion is required for deposit refund eligibility.

City Pet Tags

If the adopted animal will remain within Medicine Lodge city limits, it must be registered with City pet tags. Tags may be purchased with proof of current rabies vaccination.
