The City of Medicine Lodge periodically seeks bids and proposals for an array of products and services needed to deliver services to the community efficiently and cost-effectively.

Formal solicitations are advertised in the Gyp Hills Premiere. Solicitations are also published online via this webpage. Sometimes large documents and plan sets may be hosted by third parties, including cloud storage sites or plan rooms; in such instances, links will appear on this page.

Interested firms may also visit City Hall during regular working hours to obtain copies of any current formal bids.

Request for Qualifications - Information Technology Services

Description of Project: The City of Medicine Lodge, Kansas invites qualified providers to submit a proposal and statement of qualifications for professional information technology services for an initial period of November 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021 with two (2) optional one year extensions if agreed by both the City and the selected firm.

The qualified vendor will enable the City to significantly improve information technology (IT) effectiveness, enhance its quality of services, minimize its support cost and maximize return on investment in IT

Request for Qualifications - Grant Administration Services

Description of Project: The City of Medicine Lodge invites qualified grant administrators, individuals or firms, to submit qualifications for consideration by the City concerning an awarded Kansas Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant–CV (CDBG) Business Grant Project. This proposed project would include, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting in executing state contracts, meeting any contract conditions.
  • Environmental review
  • Citizen Participation
  • Quarterly Reporting
  • Conducting a Pre-Monitoring, attend the monitoring and resolve any deficiencies
  • Assist the City with Record-Keeping and setting up files
  • Procurement of all other professional services as needed, including MBE and WBE
  • Labor Standards requirements
  • Civil Rights activities and documentations
  • Complete Closeout packet
  • Assisting with establishing CDBG-compliant financial management systems 
  • Attending meetings as requested or required by the Council to explain documents

The City of Medicine Lodge expects a successful administrator to complete paperwork and explain items in the grant guidelines or grantee handbook necessary to complete CDBG projects properly.
